Jessie OMP Model #176980 has accomplished a lot in the past few years since she started modeling. She made the top three in the OMP Bikini Model of the Year competition, as well as participated in an exclusive photo shoot with the site. In addition to her other modeling assignments, she has accomplished a cover for Austin Fit Magazine in May of 2009 and 2010. She has also found herself on a billboard in Dallas. “What an amazing experience to see yourself on a billboard! And even more so, to see yourself on a cover!”
This busy Texan balances her datebook the best way she knows how – by prioritizing. “It is difficult, but I try to keep priorities in line. School, modeling, then work. Now I am graduating top of my class from the University of North Texas with a degree in Advertising and minors in Marketing and Spanish.”
As soon as she turned 18, Jessie began to see opportunities in promotional modeling. “I had a way with people. I knew that early on.” From her work in promotions she found her niche in print. “After getting my headshot taken for a promotions team I was working for, I realized my talent for being in front of the camera. My passion for the industry encouraged me to keep strengthening my abilities and transform images with expression.”
Her preparation for any photo shoot begins with a style session. “First thing I do is determine the styling for the shoot. I love to use my creativity to put together the wardrob depending on the clients’ needs. I try to provide my clients with many options as possible. Next of course, I shower up and be sure my hair and skin are clean and manageable for the styling team. Then I hit the road. I always leave plenty of time for traffic and direction changes.”
Jessie’s future goals are to make her break in fitness magazines such as Shape, Fitness, Oxygen, and Women’s Health. “Nutrition and fitness keep me sane so that is the direction I am taking my modeling.”
Her inspirations isn’t found in other models but in her own desire to succeed. “I made a promise to myself that I was going to make it. And I’ve done pretty well but it isn’t over yet!”
During a shoot, Jessie reminds models to “concentrate on your angles and positioning in comparison to the photographer’s camera angle.” She would also like to tell models to follow their own path to success rather than listening to others. “Do not conform to someone else’s version of you. You and only you can set the standard.”
